Getting ready for your first date is always a worrying time, no
matter how old you are. Family and friends are all putting their pennies
worth in giving you advice on this and advice on that. All you want to do
is sit down and have a stiff Vodka and for your stomach to stop churning.
Well we can’t give advice on how to stop the nervous feeling, I
honestly don’t think there is a cure for that. One thing may help and
that is, not to count it as a date. After all you’ve never met the
person before. Count it as a meeting and don’t get your hopes up.
You’ll probably be disappointed.
We can however give advice on how to stay safe and by staying safe
it may help you relax and enjoy yourself.
The best advice for anyone going on their first date is “ Let

Take a fully charged mobile phone with you. Then get someone to
phone you about an hour into the date, just to check up.
Try not to leave your food or drink
If you are concerned in any way never leave or drive home alone.

harass you or worse.
Men, don’t just think women should take precautions. There are
predatory women out there as well as men.
It’s a pity that we have to take precautions such as above but
remember it’s better to be a little bit embarrassed than have your
safety compromised.
Now keeping within the safe limits above there are all sorts of
public places, from Pub’s, Club’s, The theatre, A good
restaurant .
There is nothing more enjoyable than a good meal with good company.
So why not suggest they bring a couple of friends and you’ll do the
